College of Charleston
Toastmasters
A Distinguished Club
"The Outstanding College Toastmaster Club in the World!"
We meet at 12:20 pm on Thursdays or as announced in the Faculty House at 20 Glebe Street in Charleston. Please view our activity schedule for details. Are you a Toastmaster but not a member of our club and need more speaking opportunities? Come to our meetings and we'll give them to you. You will have opportunities besides those you already have by your club(s) to sharpen your skills and earn your next educational award. We hope to see you soon! The mission of College of Charleston Toastmasters is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Our meetings provide a cordial setting to help make you feel comfortable as you improve your speaking and listening skills and perform as a better leader. We can help you overcome the fear of speaking in public which in turn will increase your confidence and improve your human relations. As part of your professional development we constructively evaluate your presentation skills and performance of your assigned meeting roles. As you take on leadership roles and improve your communication skills you will become more well-rounded, confident, and respected by your friends, associates, and superiors. As they ponder your secret to success, they just might become fascinated in Toastmasters as well. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at one of our meetings. College of Charleston Toastmasters Club 5497 is aligned under District 58, Division A, Area 11. |
