Accommodations

The ASE 2008 Conference will be hosted by the College of Charleston, in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. The dates of the conference, May 29 - June 1, coincide with the International Spoleto Festival and Saturday evening is designated as Spoleto night to allow participants to attend one of the many Spoleto events.

ON CAMPUS
Special Rates and Fees are available for ASE Conference Members for on-campus accommodations through Residence Life and Housing at the College of Charleston.  Room rates do not include linen.  Linen packets must be ordered, a one-time fee will be added to your bill.  The Residential Housing Checklist is for your use only and is not to be submitted.

To apply for on-campus accommodations, please complete and submit the Reservation Request Form. "Registration must be sent to Residence Life and Housing, please enter ASE for Conference name for special rates. Please print and retain a copy for your records. You will receive a contract from Residence Life and Housing confirming your stay. We recommend you submit full payment for your on-campus housing at the time you return your signed contract. 

All on-campus accommodations is within easy walking distance to the conference center. Liberty Street Residence Hall is the closest, located directly across the street from the Beatty Center. 

All rooms, single and double occupancy, have shared bathroom space.

Deposits can be paid by check, cash, money order or credit card.  Checks should be made payable to the College of Charleston.  All payments should be remitted to:  College of Charleston, Department of Residence Life and Housing, 40 Coming Street, Charleston, SC 29401.

Note: The term conference sponsor, group, or conference guest used within the reservation form and contract pertains to the individual guest requesting reservations and the form is to be completed as such. OFF CAMPUS
Two hotels have been designated as reserved rooms at block rates, at the best available prices for the coming season. These rooms are reserved on a release contract and the block rates will expire as noted below. Rates for hotel rooms in Charleston are considerably higher than the rates quoted below. However, if you rent a car, you may find lower rates on the outskirts of the city within 20-30 minute drive.

All off-campus reservations must be made by phone (not on-line) for special rates; please request the ASE special reservation rates when booking a room.

Reserved rooms are limited. Please be sure to reserve your rooms before the expiration dates. All rooms after the reservation deadlines revert to non-block rates.
