Guy E. Ilagan, Associate Director, Substance Abuse Treatment & Prevention

Guy is from Summerville, S.C. and a graduate of the College of Charleston class of '89. He received his master's degree in 1993 from The Citadel. Guy is a National Board Certified Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor. Guy has extensive knowlegde of substance abuse treatment and prevention. His natural style and warm personality come across during his presentations and is most always well received. In addition to work here at the college, Guy is involved in numerous committees both on and off campus. He has presented on various topics from team building and stress management to codependency and healthy relationships. Guy is also an adjunct faculty member of the college.

Elizabeth J. Dixon, Coordinator of Prevention & Enforcement Initiatives

Elizabeth is from Charleston, S.C. and also a graduate of the College of Charleston ('94). She received her master's from The Citadel in 2002 and started as the substance abuse counselor in August 2002. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She brings with her experience working with substance abuse clients and a love for the academic environment. She is responsible for substance abuse prevention efforts on and off campus. She is a member of the Campus Action Team, College Community Coalition and the Campus Judicial Committee. She also provides training to campus staff on substance abuse issues, provides substance abuse treatment and conducts presentations to various groups on substance abuse issues.

Lindsey Barr, Substance Abuse Counselor

Lindsey is from Charleston, S.C. and also graduated from the College of Charleston (’01). She received her master’s degree from The Citadel in 2006. Shortly after completing a graduate internship at Counseling & Substance Abuse Services, she began as a substance abuse counselor. Lindsey conducts substance abuse assessments as well as providing individual and group therapy for students at the college.
