- Facts on tap provides useful information for parents of college students including a parents guide, drug information and the opportunity to join a listserv specifically designed for parents.
- The Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) is South Carolina's main resource for substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment. DAODAS has contributed to the College of Charleston's prevention and treatment efforts through grant funding, providing excellent guidance, training and resources.
- This link will take you directly to NIDA Community Drug Alert Bulletin. This bulletin provides up-to-date information on various drugs including club drugs, methamphetamines and steroids to name a few.

TREATMENT RESOURCES
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) ensures that quality substance abuse and mental health services are available to the people who need them, and that prevention and treatment knowledge is used more effectively in the general health care system. This site also provides access to the home pages of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, and Center for Mental Health Services.
- This site has information about Motivational Interviewing which is a non-confrontational style of counseling that has proven to be effective in the treatment of substance abuse disorders. You will find some current studies regarding the efficacy of this approach in their website as well.
- Also, try recoveryhelper.org to find a comprehensive directory of drug/alcohol rehabs and treatment centers in the United States.

Treatment 4 Addiction is the net’s largest and most frequently updated treatment center directory. Our national directory of treatment centers includes the SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) database, and also many private treatment centers, therapists and addiction professionals. Users can also rate and review treatment centers and other facilities they have attended.
