BIOPHYSICAL MODELING OF EXCITABLE CELLS
Course Hours: 3An introduction to the concepts and methods of computer modeling of excitable cells. Topics include basic electrophysiology of excitable cells, biophysics of ion conduction, mathematical modeling of activation/inactivation mechanisms using experimental data, and computer simulations.
Prerequisites: BIOL 111/112 and PHYS 112/HONS 158 or BIOL 211/305 and PHYS 102/PHYS 112/HONS 158 or the permission of the instructor.
