Welcome to the College of Charleston! The Charleston 40 is the official student tour guide organization on campus. It is our mission to provide potential students and parents the most accurate information possible and provide them with an idea of what student life is like at the College of Charleston. The College’s history began before the United States was even founded. Since then, we have been providing a quality education for the finest students in the nation.

Sign Up For A Tour!

To sign up for a tour please pre-register at least two weeks prior to your visit to Charleston. During the Summer months, the Charleston 40 offers campus tours at 10am only, followed by an Admissions Info Session.

The Wilson-Sottile House was designed in the Queen Anne style of the Victorian Period. The name of the style, however, is a misnomer. The dominant style of Queen Anne's reign, (1702-1714) looked nothing like a Queen Anne house, but much more like a formal Renaissance House.
