Andy Hilton

Communications Director, ITT Water & Wastewater

In September 2009, Andy Hilton was named communications director for ITT Water & Wastewater, the largest business in the ITT Corporation portfolio. From headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, Andy leads a global department that supports customer and employee communications in more than 40 countries and serves on the company’s executive leadership team.

Prior to his current assignment, Andy was director of public relations for ITT Corporation since June 2007, based at the company’s global headquarters in White Plains, N.Y. In addition to his duties as company spokesman, Andy was responsible for external corporate communications and the management of ITT’s reputation initiatives.

Prior to ITT, Andy was with the global public relations firm Ketchum, where he was vice president and group manager in the New York corporate practice. With Ketchum, he provided communications counsel to a range of Fortune 250 corporations, including Nokia, Best Buy and Macy’s, Inc. He was a key member of the award-winning Ketchum team providing public relations support to the Russian Federation during its 2006 G-8 presidency.

In addition to Ketchum, Andy worked with Peppercom, a well-respected mid-sized public relations firm, working with clients such as ITT, GE, Tyco and Unisys. As director, he opened the agency’s San Francisco office and spent four years managing and growing the outpost.

Andy's work has received industry recognition including awards of distinction from the Public Relations Society of America and PRWeek magazine. He was recently featured in “PRofiles of Success,” a University of Alabama project looking at the characteristics of 20 emerging leaders in the public relations industry, and serves on the communication advisory council at the College of Charleston.

Andy earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He lives in Stockholm with his wife and son.
