David Webster

VP, Corporate Communications

Centex Corporation

David Webster is a corporate communications veteran whose domestic and international experience spans several industries, including energy, manufacturing, financial services, payments, real estate and construction.

He recently founded Tamarando, LLC, a strategic communications practice based in Dallas, TX. The company provides communications counsel and expertise for public companies, venture capital firms and their interests, national not-for-profits, and special situations.

Previously, David was chief communications officer for the nation’s third largest homebuilder, Centex Corporation, prior to its merger with PulteGroup. Centex was a Fortune 200 company.

Prior to Centex, David was the chief communications officer at Regions Financial (AmSouth Bank), a top-10 bank holding company with $142 billion in assets, 2,000 branches and 37,000 employees.

David also served as senior vice president of business affairs at Chase Card Services, the world’s largest issuer of Visa credit cards. While at Chase, he and his team created co-branded product and media relations campaigns in partnership with many of America’s best brands like Disney, Southwest Airlines, and Starbucks.

David has held senior communications positions at Bank One, First USA and Pennzoil Company. He has a masters’ degree in communication from Regent University.

David lives in Dallas with his wife of 31 years, Susan.
