Keith Poston

Senior corporate communications executive

Keith has nearly 20 years of public relations, corporate communications and crisis management experience. His diverse background includes corporate, agency, political and non-profit public relations.

Most recently Keith served as managing director of Corporate Communications at AGL Resources [NYSE: ATG], a Fortune 1000 natural gas/energy holding company headquartered in Atlanta, Ga. Keith provided strategic direction for external, customer and employee communications, as well as corporate branding.

Prior to that, Keith was director of Public Relations and Employee Communications for Progress Energy, a Fortune 250 energy company headquartered in Raleigh, N.C. Keith joined Progress Energy (then Carolina Power & Light) in July 1999 from Ketchum Public Relations in Washington, D.C., where he was vice president/account supervisor. At Ketchum, Keith worked with a diverse list of clients including Mobil, Capital One, National Public Radio and the government of Puerto Rico.

Prior to joining Ketchum, Keith was public relations director of the National Alliance of Business (NAB), a nonprofit organization focused primarily on education, workforce and workplace issues. Keith has served on several political campaigns and began his career in communications in the writer’s group for the Jack Kemp for President campaign in 1987.

Keith received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
