WHAT: Internship Fair, Department of Communication
WHEN: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 21
WHERE: Along the walkway outside of Physicians Auditorium
WHO WILL YOU MEET: Representatives from 25-35 companies and organizations in such fields as public relations, marketing, event planning, television, newspapers, sports teams, not-for-profits
HOW SHOULD YOU PREPARE: Bring a professionally prepared resume and dress appropriately (business casual)
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND: Participating in the Fair can help you succeed as a communication professional after you graduate. Your future employers make important hiring decisions based on your work experience as well as on your academic record. Students who graduate without an internship could be committing career suicide.
WHY SHOULD YOU CHECK YOUR EMAIL: The Department of Communication will soon send you a list of the organizations and companies participating.
