Faculty Bio David Moscowitz Dr. Moscowitz’s research explores postmodern identity and memory politics with particular attention on tropes of assimilation, whiteness, gender and the body, and Jewish identity and representation. His work is published in journals devoted to rhetoric, cultural studies, and Jewish studies, including Critical Studies in Media Communication, Studies in American Jewish Literature, and Text and Performance Quarterly. The International Communication Association has recognized his work with top paper honors. Dr. Moscowitz also serves on the editorial board for Critical Studies in Media Communication. At the College of Charleston, Dr. Moscowitz works with the programs in Film Studies, Jewish Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies. He lives on James Island with Dr. Leigh Moscowitz and their children, Amelia and Elijah, and their sweet, blind beagle, Bailey.
