"Business Angel Investing Groups Growing in North America" Adobe Acrobat Reader file
- Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
Summary
Angel investing has played an important role in financing entrepreneurial ventures for many years, bridging the gap between formal venture capital and capital raised from friends and family. Previous studies on angel investors focused on the individual investors, their backgrounds, experience, and contributions to entrepreneurial growth. This Kauffman Foundation report examined a growing number of organized angel groups and their investments in entrepreneurial ventures. By examining existing angel groups, the paper highlights “best practices” for new angel groups, and informs entrepreneurs of this growing source of investment capital.
