Summary
Greene et al. examined the comparatively new and emerging
role of women entrepreneurs. It suggests that although
similarities among groups of entrepreneurs exist, women
often differ from men in their choice of industry, financing
options, growth strategies, and governance structures.
This paper builds on the work of other researchers who
identified the differences between men and women in the
challenges they face in creating and managing new and
growing businesses. The authors argued that in order to
better develop theoretical constructs, these differences
must be considered.
