ANNUAL REPORTS

The Global Trade Initiatives program was launched in August of 2007 and is the only program of its type in the region. It falls under the auspices of the Global Trade and Resource Center, whose mission is to enhance economic development in the Charleston region and throughout the state. To accomplish its mission, its objectives are to facilitate academic programs, provide infrastructure support (education, research projects and studies) and foster outreach programs specifically geared to the needs of South Carolina firms involved in trade and logistics. A fundamental objective is to stay abreast of the changes taking place in international education, make that information readily available to its stakeholders and secure grant funding that will help sustain the benefits provided to the people of the region.

GTI had a busy and successful first year. For more information on our activities take a look at the Annual Report for FY 07-08.
