BECOME A NASBITE CERTIFIED GLOBAL BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL!

Check back here for the CGBP training schedule. Sessions will begin in the fall in advance of the next national NASBITE CGBP exam early in 2010.

A US Department of Education Title VIB grant has enabled the College of Charleston's Global Trade Initiatives (GTI) Office to become the Carolinas' first CGBP test site and offer test preparation seminars. The NASBITE CGBP, a vital addition to global trade education, is the first nationally-accepted, international trade credentialing program.

The comprehensive 6-day CGBP training program costs $695. The cost for each individual full-day session is $175. The seminars will finish just prior to the national exam date on June 13. Typically, CGBP training ranges in cost from $995 to upwards of $2,400 through other providers. Exam costs of $345 are not included in the seminar costs.

Members of Global Trade Initiatives' partner organizations can attend the training at the reduced rate of $295 for all six sessions or $75 per individual session. Need-based scholarships and Continuing Education Units are available. For more information email GTI@cofc.edu or call 843-953-6621.

With support from the US Department of Commerce and US Department of Education,
NASBITE International developed the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credentialing program. The CGBP credential sets the benchmark for global trade knowledge, and certification shows that individuals have the full knowledge required by the global commerce profession. The CGBP exam tests knowledge in four key areas: Global Business Management, Global Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Trade Finance. Learn more about NASBITE and the CGBP by clicking here.
