SC International Trade Coalition
Global Trade Initiatives is a member of the South Carolina International Trade Coalition (SCITC), an organization comprised of federal, state and private organizations that are all chartered to promote international trade. The SCITC members work collaboratively across the state in an effort to reduce duplication of efforts and bring the best level of services possible to their customers and clients.
Additionally, the Global Trade Initiatives Program has formalized partnerships with the following organizations:
Charleston Women in International Trade (CWIT) GTI is very supportive of CWIT, providing guest speakers for meetings and sponsoring events. Together we have established a mentoring program that matches College of Charleston students with business professionals in the fields of global trade and logistics.
Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) GTI has become a City/State Partner with the EXIM Bank in alignment with our economic mission. Our ability to reach out to members of the international business community to help them find financial assistance for exporting coupled with the entrepreneurial services offered through the School of Business and Economics makes us an excellent partner. South Carolina World Trade Center (SCWTC) We co-host and sponsor many events with the SCWTC to include visits by foreign ambassadors, trade missions, and educational lectures. Together, we are offering NASBITE CGBP training in the spring of 2009.
