Chemical Biology involves using chemical approaches to study complex biological systems. The HHMI grant will allow us to improve and expand our chemistry curriculum to better prepare graduates for careers at the interface between biology and chemistry.

Our curriculum improvement has two specific goals:

1. A third lecture course in Chemical Biology for our biochemistry sequence will be developed
2. A capstone laboratory will be developed for biochemistry majors where students will engage in collaborative research projects.
