The Benny Goodman Story

The Benny Goodman Story (1955) revolves around the life and music of Swing Era bandleader Benny Goodman. It covers Goodman's career from his childhood days to his monumental 1938 Carnegie Hall jazz concert. Among other songs, viewers will be treated to "Don't Be That Way," "Memories of You," and "Sing, Sing, Sing." The movie stars Steve Allen and Donna Reed and features Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton, Kid Ory, Harry James, and Stan Getz. 116 minutes.
