Research emphasis: Environmental and marine chemistry, analytical chemistry, bioaccumulation of pollutants in marine food webs, identifying and measuring chemicals of emerging concern, marine organisms as indicators of pollution

Current and planned research projects:

  • screening marine samples for new chemicals of emerging concern
  • examining how site fidelity and habit affect pollutant levels in bottlenose dolphins
  • assessing temporal and spatial trends of pollutants in samples from the Marine Environmental Specimen Bank
  • assessing the occurrence of brominated flame retardants in the marine environment
