What's New - Registration Issues - Neuroscience Minor

We have become aware of some minor issues and questions that have developed as students begin to register for fall classes and the Neuroscience I course. Please bear with us as we resolve these issues during this first time the course is offered. If you have specific questions about registering for the Neuroscience I course that are not discussed below, please contact the department offices (Biology or Psychology), Dr. Meyer-Bernstein (953-2298; meyerbernsteine@cofc.edu) or Dr. Hurd (953-6362; hurdm@cofc.edu).
Some of the recently asked questions have been summarized below:

Question: I have not taken Psycology 103. Can I be concurrently enrolled (taking the two courses at the same time) in 103 and the Neuroscience I course for the fall semester?
Answer: Yes

Question: I've taken Biology 111, 112 and Psychology 103, but when I try to register for Neuroscience I, the system is telling me that I need Biology 211 as well in order to get into the class. Do I need to take Biology 211?
Answer: No
This error is due to a recent change in the Biology curriculum. Biology 211 will not be required for students trying to enter the Neuroscience I class this fall if they will be a junior or senior and were only required to take Biology 111 and 112 to fulfill their sciences requirement.
