The One Course Initiative is available only to new applicants to The Graduate School of the College of Charleston. All OCI applicants can apply as a degree-seeking, non-degree seeking, or a certificate seeking student. Acceptance to the program is based primarily upon his or her previous academic record, as deemed acceptable by the program director.

Steps to becoming an OCI Participant

1. Request an application fee waiver by emailing Niki DeWeese. Application fee waivers identify our OCI participants and are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only 50 application fee waivers will be provided.
2. Submit your application. All applicants are responsible for ensuring all materials are received by the Graduate School for the program to which they are applying. Participation in the One Course Initiative does not guarantee acceptance to any program under any admission category. Tuition and fees are due and payable in full before or on the due date shown on the first bill for the semester.
3. If you apply as a non-degree student, choose what course you are interested in enrolling.
