VII. Questionnaire*
This questionnaire should serve you, the student, as a guide. It may serve from time to time as a reminder of where you have been intellectually and where you might want to be, whether you end up in law school or not. Feel free to update this form as the need arises. Be sure to go through this form completely at least once, in writing, by the time you are a junior at the College of Charleston.
1. Are you a transfer student? If so, from where did you transfer, when, and why?
2. Why do you want to be a lawyer?
3. Why do you think a law school should admit you?

4. What do you expect to get out of law school in addition to a J.D. degree?

5. What would you like to do with a law degree? Do you have any idea of what area of the law you would like to practice? If so, what? Why?

6. What exposure have you had to law and lawyers?

7. Are there any particular extracurricular activities you would like to pursue while in law school? What are they? Why?
8. What courses and teachers had the most favorable influence on you? Why?
9. Where would you like to live for the next three years? If more than one place is desirable, please list and rank.
10. Where would you like to practice law?
11. To what law schools would you like to apply? Note: this is a working list, to be revised in consultation with your adviser.

18. Describe the circumstances of any unusual time you have spent out of college.

19. If you are a college alum, describe you jobs and activities since graduation.


20. Who have you requested to write your letters of recommendation? (Note: keep this list up-to-date at all times).
