Background:
Dr. James B. Hittner received his B.S. degree in psychology
from Ohio State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical
and School Psychology from Hofstra University. After earning his Ph.D.
in 1993, Dr. Hittner completed a two-year fellowship in alcohol treatment
and early intervention research at Brown University's Center for Alcohol
and Addiction Studies. Dr. Hittner's research interests include alcohol
expectancies and mood, substance use and AIDS-risky behavior, and substance
abuse prevention. Dr. Hittner also conducts research with Dr. Kim May in the
areas of applied statistics and statistical software development.
