Cougars Lock North Points Series September 22, 2003 The cougars clinched a spot in the SAISA District Championships to be held at home November 1-2 by winning the Charleston Open this weekend. 13 varsity and 3 JV teams competed in the combined North/South Points series. Seven CofC sailors competed for the win. In A-division freshman Brendan Healy sailed with Diane Haynsworth on Saturday and Amy Warren on Sunday to finish a close third just 11 points out of first. B-division sailors Jesse Combs with Jenny Henderson (Saturday) and Russ O'Reilly with Hunter Stunzi (Sunday) won their division by 12 points to lead the cougars to another Points Series win.

REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
A great weekend of sailing was had on the Cooper River here in
Charleston this weekend. 13 varsity teams and three JV teams
filled 16 of CofC's 420's. Eight races were completed on Saturday
after waiting until 1pm for a southerly seabreeze to fill. Sunday
brought a light, shifty NE breeze at 10am that filled to a shifty
Easterly at 10-12 knots.
