Temples for Tomorrow
is an
online project and pedagogical experiment that focuses
on the lives and works of African American writers. While edited and
maintained at The College of Charleston,
the Temples project is intended as a collaborative effort and will rely
on the contributions of students and scholars from around the world.
Inspired by the exhaustive research of Paul Reuben's PAL site
and the interactive nature of The Voices from the
Gaps project, Temples intends to provide an online resource for
students of African American literature, as well as provide an
opportunity for students and scholars to contribute to African American
literary scholarship.
Students and scholars can currently contribute to the Temples project in one of two ways: by submitting author pages or annotated bibliographies. We are also interested in other ideas you may have for contributions (timelines, reviews, etc.). Click on the links above to find out more. You will also find on the
site a
list of resources that link
you to general (i.e. not specific to a single author) internet
resources for the study of African American writers.
