We build our temples for tomorrow, as strong as we know how and we stand on the top of the mountain, free within ourselves.

Ways to Contribute to the Project
1. Author Pages
Each author page presents biographical, critical and bibliographical information about the writer, as well as quotes pertinent to his/her life and works. Each page should also include links to other resources on the web that provide information about the writer.  The purpose of each page is to provide general information and an tools for further study.

If you would like to contribute an author page, please see the list of writers. Choose any writer that hasn't yet been claimed. If you would like to research a writer not on our list, please contact the editor

2. Annotated Bibliographies
Students and scholars can also contribute annotated bibliographies of scholarly or creative works by or about African American authors.  The purpose of these bibliographies will be to provide visitors to this site an overview of the scholarship about a particular author or period.

3.  Other Opportunities
We are also interested in publishing reviews, timelines, artwork, creative pieces, etc.  We are especially interested in providing for teachers an opportunity to showcase the work their students are doing in African American literature.

Please browse the site for ideas about content and format.
