About the Program's Application Process The Athletic Training Education Program at the College
of Charleston employs a competitive selection process whereby a limited
number of students are accepted for admission into the program. The maximum
number of students accepted into the program each year is based upon the
availability of clinical supervisors and quality clinical educational
opportunities. Students apply for selection into the Athletic Training
Education Program only during the fall semester in which
they are enrolled in ATEP 245 and ATEP 245 L, which is typically the fall
of their sophomore year. Please note that these classes are offered only
in the fall semester. Students will only be accepted during the fall semester
of the year. Therefore, students interested in the Athletic Training Education
Program should meet with the Athletic Training Education Program Director
as soon as possible. Transfer student admission is also selective and
competitive. Transfer students must follow the same admission process
and must allow at least three years to complete the program.Students
seeking admission into the program must meet the program's selection criteria.
However, meeting the selection criteria does not guarantee selection into
the program. Selection criteria are published in the College's Undergraduate
Catalog and can be downloaded from this page. Program students must meet, each semester, published retention criteria in order to matriculate through this degree program. |
