About the Clinical Education Experiences

The clinical education component of the Athletic Training Education Program provides students the unique opportunity to participate in extensive clinical experiences in collegiate and high school sports medicine venues as well as in sports medicine physical therapy clinics and physicians' offices and clinics. The entire clinical education component of the program consists of five courses taken sequentially beginning with the first spring semester subsequent to acceptance into the program. Each clinical education experience requires the student to complete both classroom assignments and a supervised clinical "field" experience under the direction of one of our twenty approved clinical instructors. For each clinical education field experience program students are assigned to one or more of our thirteen clinical education sites. All students are responsible for their own transportation to and from our clinical education field experience sites.
