Reuben Ambenge ('99) has begun graduate studies at the University of Southern California.
John Amis ('97) is working as a nurse with Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles. He and his wife Bridgett have twin daughters: Brenna and Kaylah.
Wes Adams ('97) received his M.S. from UNC-Wilmington in December 1999. He is a chemistry instructor at Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College.
Joseph Anderson ('86) is a flight surgeon and Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. He will be attending Harvard University to obtain a Masters in Public Health degree as the first year of USAF Residency in Aerospace Medicine. He and his wife Regina have two children: Kathleen and Ben.
Kenneth S. Anderson ('93) is an epidermiologist with the Idaho Department of Public Helath in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Tracy Baker ('97) is a pharmaceutical sales representative with Eli Lilly and Co. and resides in Pinehurst, NC.
Wilbur Barwick ('97) is with Charleston Management Services doing metalurgical chemistry.

Joanna Freenman Cartetrette ('91) and her husband DeLane announce the birth of their son Caleb in October 1999. She is a chemist with Honeywell in Irmo, SC.
Christine Killen Chard ('90) is a physician practicing pediatrics in Laurel, MS. She and her husband Dana have two children, William (4) and Beth (1).

George Cobb ('82) presented a seminar entitled "Integrated Approaches to Evaluate Pollutant Exposures and Effects" on January 20, 2000 at the College of Charleston. He is with the Texas Tech Institute of Environmental and Human Health where he is the Division Leader for Environmental Health and Toxicology.
Deborah L. Cox ('74) is the director of Public relations for Sterling Commerce in Atlanta.
Mary Peyton Davis ('97) has completed her M.S. degree in chemistry at the University of South Carolina. She is now working for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control as an environmental/health manager doing computer modeling to determine the effects of chemicals released into the air, among other things.
Roger W. Day ('77) is the Associate Director for Application R&D for Prazair, Inc. in Tarrytown, NY. Member Companies and Corporation He is their representative to the ACS Corporation Associates whose mission is to advise and influence the Society to ensure that it provides products and services that are of value to industry members and their companies.
Edward W. Duffy, Jr. ('83) is a physician practicing in Sumter, SC.
Jennifer Harmon-Fetcho ('93) is working with the USDA Environmental Chemistry Lab in Maryland and was awarded this year's USDA Natural Resources Institute Support Scientist of the Year Award.

Alex P. Jones ('43) has retired after 52 years of practice as a physician. He was a founding member of the Chemistry Society that was started in 1941. He resides in Griffin, GA.

Tim Kenny ('96) is a vintner/production manager/chemist with Volcano Vinyards at Volcano, Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii. He and his wife Jody are expecting their first child in July.

Chris Lindner ('92) is a technical advisor for Thomas, Kayden, Horstemeyer, & Risley, L.L.P which practices exclusively in intellectual property law, including the law of patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, and related litigation. in Atlanta.
Aaron Mailloux ('96) is a chemist with Morton International in Woodstock, Illinois.
Thomas Manning ('85) is an associate professor at Valdosta State University. He presented a seminar "Ozone: Molecule for the New Millennium" as part of our fall seminar series. He and his wife, Arlene, have two children.
Yukie Kanegae Mann ('94) is a homemaker and lives in Duluth, MN with her husband Todd. They have one child, Natalie, with another on the way.
Tina Masterson ('95) is working in the lab of Dr. John Oates at Vanderbilt University. She received her MS from Oklahoma University in December 1998.

Marty Martinez ('88) is completing an ophthalmolgy residency at UNC-Chapel Hill and will then enter a practice in Wilmington, NC. He has his wife Shannon Studer Martinez have one son, Parker, born February 1999.

Jill Butler Rhoden ('98) was married in July 1999 and is a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of New Orleans.

Terry Singleton ('83) is a chemist for High Point Chemicals in High Point, NC. He and his wife Kim have one son.
Kenneth Smith ('93) received his Ph.D. from Memphis State in August and is now a post-doctoral associate at the University of Virginia.
Michael Stebbins ('92) is a chemist, as is his wife Camille Kassis Stebbins ('92), at Westvaco in North Charleston. On August 28 in Chicago he participated in a triathalon fro the Leukemia Society.
Gordan B. Stine ('44), advisor to the dean of the College of Dental Medicine of the Medical University of South Carolina and the South Carolina Area Health Education Consortium, was honored at the annual meeting of the College of Charleston Alumni Association. He received the Alumni Award of Honor, the association’s highest award, which signifies outstanding contributions or services to the College of Charleston or to the Alumni Association. Recipients of the award are selected by a vote at the annual meeting. Stine has served in a variety of capacities for the institution. He is an emeritus member of the Board of Trustees, past president of the Alumni Association and past president of the Cougar Club. He has chaired his class reunion and his class gift project. A dentist by profession, Stine has been actively involved in community service through many organizations. He also has been active in the dental profession as a practitioner, educator and administrator, and has been honored for his service on numerous occasions.
Xiangchao Sun ('99) is a clinical lab chemist in the Institute of Pschiatry at MUSC.
Chris Tahan ('96 is working with Profs. Langer and Shastri at M.I.T. while on a research fellowship.

Gary Thomas ('83) is the director of Oncology/Hematology at Hilton Head hospital.
H. Evans Townsend, Jr. ('64) received a lifetime achievement award for his work with the Charelston County Council.
Claudia McLaughlin Troxel ('91) nows resides in Lander, Wyoming where her husband Pat works for the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. She continues to work out of her home on a contract basis for Oak Ridge. They have two children, Savannah and Rachael.
Jason Vohs ('99) married Dianne Lago on July 10, 1999 in North Charleston. He is a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Georgia.
Lisa Kosic Walker ('95) received her Pharm.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina on May 21, 1999 and is employed by Sentara Norfolk General Hospital . She married Rodger Walker on March 11, 2000.
Bruce Whitehouse ('62) has retired from DuPont and is now operating his own consulting business. He does organizational re-engineering for small to mid-size companies and negotaiates technology and asset sales and acquisitions.
Wayne Wilson ('82) is a physician practicing in Hickory, NC.
