News 2002 Distinguished Faculty Awards April 22, 2002 Faculty Awards of Distinction for the 2001-2002 academic year were announced on April 22 at the College of Charleston’s Spring faculty meeting. They are as follows: Distinguished Teacher-Scholar Award-- George Dickinson, Professor of Sociology Distinguished Advising Award-- Willette Burnham, Director of Intercultural Programs; Larry Carlson, Professor of English; and James Deavor, Interim Dean of the School of Sciences and Mathematics and Professor of Chemistry Distinguished Service Award-- Sam Hines, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Distinguished Research Award-- Renling Jin, Associate Professor of Mathematics Distinguished Teaching Award-- Shirley Moore, Assistant Professor of Communication
