Heldrich Becomes Interim Chair

On August 16, 2001 Rick Heldrich became the interim chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry while Jim Deavor serves as interim dean of the School of Sciences and Mathematics. Dr. Heldrich joined the faculty in 1982 and has served the department in nuemrous capacities during that time. He has also served as chair if the South Carolina Section of the American Chemical Society. Currently he is actively involved in the planning for the 2002 Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society.
