News "Innovation in Teaching" January 23, 2001 On January 23, 2001 twenty-seven faculty members of the College were recognized for "Innovation in Teaching" via the use of technology at an "In Praise Of Teaching" Reception in the Lightsey Center sponsored by the Center for Effective Teaching and Learning. Of those twenty-seven six were from our department: Jim Deavor (web based course material) Henry Donato (graphing calculators) Rick Heldrich (use of electronic chalkboards) Frank Kinard (chemcial instrumenattion and web based course material) Kristin Krantzman (web based course material) Elizabeth Martin (calculator based lab experiences for data collection and treatment).
