SEAAC '99 Hosted by C of C

Wendy Clevenger of UT-Chattanooga and former Visiting Assistant Professor at the Collge of Charleston was one of many attendees at the conference.

The 1999 Annual Meeting of the SouthEastern Association of Analytical Chemists was held September 23-25 at the Holiday Inn, Mt. Pleasant. Hosted by the analytical division of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the College of Charleston, Gary Asleson, Jim Deavor, and Frank Kinard. There were 33 attendees from around the Southeast. In all 22 presenattions were made taht included research as well as educational talks.

The banquet was held in conjunction with the September meeting of the South Carolina Section of the American Chemical Society. Sister Mary Virginia Orna was the American Chemical Society tour speaker for our area in September. Her topic was "Doing Chemistry at the Art/Archeology Interface".
