Clarence (Chip) M. Condon, III is Dean of the School of Business Administration
and Economics and Professor of Economics at the College of Charleston, Charleston,
South Carolina.
Dr. Condon has taught at the College of Charleston since 1980. Prior to coming to the
College, he taught for several years at East Carolina University in Greenville, North
Carolina, worked for three years as Director of User Services, Computer Services
Division at the University of South Carolina, and served in the US Navy in Vietnam.
Dr. Condon holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of South Carolina and BA
and MA in Economics from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. His primary areas of
research interests include labor economics, public finance, and healthcare economics.
Dr. Condon is happily married with two teenage children and lives in Mt. Pleasant, South
Carolina.
