A minimum of 126 semester hours of credit is required for the A.B. ( Artium Baccalaureatus ) degree, the B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree, or the B.S. (Bachelor of Science) degree.

For the classical A.B. degree ( Artium Baccalaureatus ), the total number of semester hours must include:

12 semester hours in English 6 semester hours in History
6 semester hours in Mathematics
8 semester hours in Natural Science

For the B.A. degree (Bachelor of Arts), the total number of semester hours must include:

12 semester hours in English
12 semester hours in one modern foreign language from courses numbered 101, 102, and higher, or

12 semester hours in each of two modern foreign languages which may include courses numbered 01, 02, for a total of 24 semester hours
12 semester hours in History
6 semester hours in Mathematics
8 semester hours in Natural Science

For the B.S. degree (Bachelor of Science), the total number of semester hours must include:
12 semester hours in English
12 semester hours in one foreign language, which may include courses numbered 01, 02
6 semester hours in History
8 semester hours in Mathematics
16 semester hours in Natural Science

English 101, 102 are required of all freshmen. In constructing his schedule-five academic courses giving a total of at least thirty semester hours--the freshman may choose four courses from:

Biology 101, 102
Biology 103, 104
Chemistry 101-102; or Chemistry 103-104
French 01, 02; or French 101, 102
German 01, 02; or German 101, 102
Greek 101, 102
History 101, 102
Latin 03, 04
Latin 101, 102
Mathematics 103, 104; or Mathematics 111, 112
Physics 103-104
Political Science 101, 104
Russian 01, 02; or Russian 101, 102.
Sp anish 01, 02; or Spanish 101, 102

Physical Education 101, 102, a basic requirement for either degree, must be taken in the freshman year.

A new adaptive course, Physical Education 103, 104, will be offered on a voluntary basis for students who cannot participate in Physical Education 101, 102 but who wish limited participation.
