After much discussion, we have agreed on the following principles:
KNOWLEDGE
Students should develop a basic knowledge of the disciplines of the liberal
arts and sciences.
VALUES
Students should develop an appreciation of and respect for diversity.
Students should develop intellectual curiosity and a commitment to lifelong
learning.
Students should become citizens of the world community.
SKILLS
Students should develop reading, writing and oral communications skills.
Students should be able to employ critical thinking, problem solving and
quantitative skills.
Students should develop the ability to understand and utilize methods
and technologies of scholarly and scientific research.
