Pre-Registration

While we do accept unregistered students on the day of class, all students are encouraged to pre-register and pre-pay for any course they wish to take. This allows us to plan properly for the course, and greatly reduces the chance that the course will be canceled. The College of Charleston EMS reserves the right to refuse any unregistered student on the course date.

In order to pre-register please download and complete the registration form linked above and return to the Department of Public Safety. Those students that register and pay at least 7 days prior to the course will receive completion cards at course completion.

Payment

Payment for courses offered by the College of Charleston EMS may be made by:
-Cash*
-Check made payable to "College of Charleston Foundation"
-IDT to CofC EMS (contact EMS-CPR@cofc.edu for details)
*Receipts can only be issued by College of Charleston EMS Instructors. It is suggested that all students pre-registering for a course pay via check or IDT.

Certification Cards
Students that register and pay at least seven (7) days prior to the course start date are eligible to receive course completion cards at the end of the course. All other students will be able to pick up cards at the Department of Public Safety 7-14 days after course completion.

Refunds
A full tuition refund will be granted if cancellation is requested, in writing, seven (7) or more calendar days
before the course start date. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the course tuition will be refunded if the cancellation
is received, in writing, six (6) or fewer calendar days before the course start date unless registration can be
transferred to a qualified substitute. All cancellations must be made in writing. The student will be responsible
for the cost of any books not returned in “as issued” condition. No refunds will be granted after the course
begins. No-shows and cancellation on the course start date are responsible for the full tuition amount.

Course Cancellation
The College of Charleston EMS reserves the right to postpone or cancel any class if registration is insufficient. If, due to insufficient enrollment, a program is canceled a full refund will be made, minus the cost of any books issued but not returned.
