Profile Anne Blessing graduated with a BA in History and Art History from the University of Virginia and an MA in American Literature from Tulane University. She is ABD at Tulane University and working on her dissertation, "Modern Day 'Mammies': White Writers and Black Characters." She will complete her doctorate in May, 2010. She has taught at the College of Charleston since 2005.
