directed the Summer and Semester in Cuba Programs since 2000. He
supervises
students
participating in Model Orgainzation of American States (OAS)
delegations and is co-Coordinator of
the Washington D.C. Model OAS. Dr. Friedman has traveled extensively in Latin America and is the author of The State and Underdevelopment in Spanish America: The Political Roots of Dependency in Peru and Argentina, published by Westview Press, and more recently, "La sociedad civil en la Cuba contemporánea: la política estadounidense y la realidad cubana."
