As most of you are aware,  the third biennial symposium of the Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society is set for March 16 - 19 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel at Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC.  The technical program is now set, and it looks most promising.  The 6 plenary talks, 82 contributed talks, and 28 posters include around 20 on your favorite organisms, the freshwater snails.  

There's still time to register.  Download your forms today from the FMCS web site, and mail them with payment to Heidi L. The meeting of our Gastropod Committee is set for 12:00 - 1:00 Monday afternoon the 17th.  We'll begin the planning process for an FMCS workshop on freshwater gastropods in 2004!
