Research emphasis:  Life history of marine and diadromous fishes, fish migration patterns and habitat use, restoration of depleted fish populations

Current research projects:

  • status of the shortnose sturgeon population in the Savannah River
  • identification of sturgeon spawning sites in the Santee River
  • impacts of commercial harvest on Fundulus heteroclitus
  • development of captive spawning and rearing techniques for Atlantic sturgeon
