The ExCEL Awards will be held at
the Sottile Theatre on

* What is the ExCEL Awards Event and Benefit Program?
- The annual ExCEL Awards and Benefit Program honor students, faculty, staff, and neighborhood groups/agencies/companies and/or individuals for their continuing work of excellence. In addition, proceeds from this event support students by providing monetary help with some of their college expenses
- This excellence is displayed in teaching, athleticism, student learning/leadership, departmental progress, and in being good neighbors
- This excellence also spreads the benefits of diversity and enhancing multiculturalism on our campus, and in the community
The ExCEL Awards will be held at
the Sottile Theatre on
Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 4 pm
- Tickets can be purchased at the Multicultural Center or by Mail Here.

Ticket prices:
$10 for CofC staff and faculty,
$15 general admission, and - Admission is free for College of Charleston students with valid College ID

Ann Caldwell works full time as a jazz singer, jazz vocalist, blues singer and musical producer. Ann is a master of accents, accurately recreating the tonalities of speech which are important to both jazz and blues. |  |
| Dr. Harris, originally from Moss Point, Mississippi, earned his liberal arts degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and his doctorate at University of Tennessee. Dr. Harris specializes in teacher education, multicultural education in the classroom and Blues music/culture as it relates to students in the classroom |
