| The mission of the Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services, as a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, is to develop new initiatives and complement existing programs which enhance the holistic development of multicultural students at the College of Charleston. We work cooperatively with students, faculty and staff to develop programs, which assist students from admission to graduation. As a member of the College of Charleston family and greater community, we work cooperatively to create a welcoming campus climate, which fosters recruitment and retention of a diverse and inclusive student body and future workforce. |

What do we do? We....
- Work for the retention of historically underrepresented student populations.
- Work to enhance multicultural awareness of all students.
- Have academic and personal counseling, liaisons, advocacy, peer mentoring, referrals, leadership training, and community-service opportunities.
- Help students search for internships, scholarships, grants, and other financial assistance so students can study and work, both at home and abroad.
- Assist students with earning internship credits
- Have a network of programs and services to enhance and support all facets of student life and academic success.
