Inorganic/Nuclear/Radiochemistry
Faculty Position
The Hope College Chemistry Department invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position in inorganic
chemistry to begin in Fall 2010. The position is expected to be
offered at an Assistant Professor level. Candidates must have a
Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry and postdoctoral experience.
Primary teaching responsibilities will include inorganic
chemistry lecture and laboratory and general chemistry. The
development of a strong, externally-funded, experimental
research program involving undergraduate students is expected.
For this purpose, start-up funds will be provided. The Chemistry
Department ( www.hope.edu/academic/chemistry/)
is a national leader in undergraduate research.

Radiochemistry
Faculty Position
The
Department of Chemistry is seeking 2 candidates for full-time,
9-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor positions in
Chemistry, commencing Fall 2008.
Highest priority is a position in UNLV's Radiochemistry program,
in which current research focuses on the chemistry of technetium
and the actinides in solids, separations, the environment, and
chemical syntheses. Successful applicants will be expected to
develop a rigorous, externally funded research program that
contributes to growing graduate programs in radiochemistry,
chemistry, and/or chemical education. Further information on the
Radiochemistry and Chemistry programs can be found at
radchem.nevada.edu and
http://sciences.unlv.edu/Chemistry/.

Postdoctoral Position in Inorganic/Radiochemistry
The Departments of Radiology and Radiation Oncology are looking
for several qualified postdoctoral fellows in the field of
radiochemistry. These are 3 year DOE funded positions with
funding for salary, supplies and travel. The successful
candidate will gain experience production of radioisotopes and
labeling methods for small molecules, peptides and proteins with
these for applications in cancer imaging and other areas.
Qualifications: Recent PhD in Chemistry or related field.
Experience in radiochemistry is preferred but not required.

Assistant Medical Scientist
Ph.D. in nuclear or radiochemistry wishing to participate in
a DOE sponsored program on radioisotope research and
production with accelerator beams. Successful candidate
must have experience with inorganic radiochemical
separations of accelerator irradiated targets and with gamma
ray spectroscopy. Experience with target design, nuclear
reaction cross section measurements, and computational codes
ALICE and MCNPX is highly desirable. This position is in
the Radionuclide Research and Production Group of the
Medical Department. The main program focus is to produce
and distribute radioisotopes for nuclear medicine research
and clinical practice, and to develop radioisotopes for new
applications in medicine and science.

Postdoctoral
Position in Nuclear Chemistry
A postdoctoral position will be available starting October 1st,
2007 in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University,
Bloomington, for a recent nuclear science Ph.D. This position is
within the Nuclear Chemistry group at the Indiana University
Cyclotron Facility (IUCF). The group utilizes intermediate
energy heavy-ion reactions to learn about the properties of
nuclei and nuclear matter away from stability. Experiments are
conducted using accelerators at MSU-NSCL, TAMU, and GANIL
(France). 08/08/2007 |
