Dr. Sarah Owens received her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on the writings of religious women from colonial Latin America and early modern Europe. She has served as the president of GEMELA: Grupo de Estudios sobre la Mujer en España y las Américas (pre-1800).
