Welcome to our vigorous undergraduate program offering degrees in physics, astronomy, astrophysics, and a meteorology concentration. Courses and undergraduate research opportunities are available for you in areas such as applied physics, astrophysics, atmospheric physics, biophysics, and computational physics. You can also do a physics cognate in the Discovery Informatics major.
Position Available We anticipate filling an assistant professor position in atmospheric physics to begin fall 2010. For more information see the announcement.
MASC Conference We are pleased to be hosting the 2010 Meeting of the Astronomers of South Carolina (MASC) on Friday and Saturday, 5-6 March 2010. For more information see the announcement.
Research Opportunities There are student research opportunities within the department as well as academic year and summer research appointments elsewhere. Our annual Research Poster Session showcases research activities throughout the school.
