Our vigorous undergraduate program offers degrees in physics, astronomy, and astrophysics, as well as concentrations and minors in energy production, biomedical physics, computational neuroscience, and meteorology. See the Handbook, linked at the left, for details. You can also do a physics cognate in the Discovery Informatics major.
Research Opportunities Undergraduate research opportunities are available for you in areas such as applied physics, astrophysics, atmospheric physics, biophysics, and computational physics within the department as well as academic year and summer research appointments elsewhere. Our annual Research Poster Session showcases research activities throughout the school.
Award Winning
 | Two of our faculty recently received prestigious Awards of Distinction from the College. We are proud, and not surprised, to have them singled out from the entire College for these honors.
We are also the proud recipients of a Commendation for Excellence from the SC Commission on Higher Education. The College of Charleston holds more of these awards than any school in the state. |
A Job, Graduate School or Medical School? We prepare you for these or other options. We provide you with extensive academic preparation, help and advice on getting in to graduate or professional school or applying for jobs.
