Hypertext Markup Language (or HTML) is the language used to create documents for the World Wide Web that can include text formatting, graphics, and even links to other documents. It is fast becoming a universal way of storing information.

HTML is not so much concerned about the appearance of the documents, as it is the structure. You use HTML to create the headings, normal paragraphs, lists, graphics and addresses and even include sound and full motion video.
