Cunning,
deceit, and betrayal
- just a
few of the attributes you will need to succeed at 'Diplomacy', the game of international intrigue!
'Diplomacy' is possibly the
ultimate
strategy board game. Each player represents one of the great European
powers
prior to World War I, a time when the continent was a complex cauldron
of
political stratagems and maneuvers. Your armies and fleets can dominate
Europe, but only with the
co-operation of your neighbors.
Never forget, they are all trying to expand their territory, too - and
you
could be the target!
Luck
plays no part in 'Diplomacy' - there
are no dice or cards involved the game at all. An integral part of the
game is
the period of 'diplomacy' that takes place prior to each turn, where
players
have an opportunity to forge alliances, spread rumors, leak
information, and
betray their allies! The best negotiator will guide his country to
victory over
both enemies and friends. Who will you trust?
