Requirements:
2 phase process:
1. The
candidate must first complete the application, which is
available on the South Carolina Teaching Fellows website.
In addition, the applicant must send in an official
transcript and three references on the official forms.
2.
In December
the applicant will be notified if he or she has been chosen
to attend a regional interview in January. The interview is
meant to assess communication skills and commitment and
knowledge of the teaching field. It also requires the
applicant to complete a 30 minute writing response to an
education-based prompt.
The
interviews and essays are then scored and those with the
highest composite score receive the scholarship.
